Welcome to the
Teach Ruadh Foundation
A place of support for children and families navigating bereavement.
The Teach Ruadh Foundation supports children, families, and communities experiencing grief and loss.
We provide practical guidance, emotional support, and resources for those navigating bereavement—at home, in schools, and within the wider community.
What We Do
Coming 2026…
Teach Ruadh (Rua’s House) a respite home on Achill Island for families after child loss.
In 2026 we open our Respite Home on Achill Island — a calm, private place for families navigating child loss to rest, breathe, and be cared for. Built in Ruadhán’s memory, offered with gentleness and dignity.
About
Teach Ruadh was founded by Sinead Hall and Keith Bradshaw following the loss of their baby boy, Ruadhán, in 2022.
During that time, they experienced the care and compassion of nurses, doctors, community workers, volunteers and strangers whose support left a lasting impact.
That experience highlighted both the importance of support—and the gaps that still exist for many families.
Teach Ruadh was created to help bridge that gap and to provide:
Accessible, practical support
Guidance for families and educators
Safe spaces where children and families can process grief
We combine our own lived experience with professional knowledge to provide support and guidance we wish we had.
